You’ll see the BIGGEST EVER All About Dogs Show returning to Essex in 2024! Bring your dog to Hylands Park, Chelmsford on Sunday 5th and Bank Holiday Monday 6th May 2024 for two days of exciting arena displays, expert advice, shopping and lots of have-a-go activities – and if you don’t have a dog, there’s plenty of fun for humans too!

Have-A-Go Activities

Join in with a whole selection of fun have-a-go activities. From lure racing and dock diving to flyball and fastest recall, there's going to be plenty of opportunities for you and your dog to take part and have fun together at this year's show. Arena Displays

Enjoy top displays from some of the UK's leading dog display teams, including performances from Lucy Heath & the Trickstars and Crufts star Nicci Hindson, the Essex Police Dog Unit, plus Scentwork and Gundog displays from Kassie Woods. For more details CLICK HERE.

Fun Dog Shows

Win a rosette in one of the fun dog shows which take place over the weekend. With four Fun Dog Show rings and almost 50 classes to enter, could your dog walk away with the coveted Best in Show trophy?! To see this year's Fun Dog Show timetable CLICK HERE.


Scruffts, the nation's favourite crossbreed competition, is coming to the All About Dogs Show Hylands! In search of crossbreeds with that extra something special, Scruffts is open to crossbreed dogs over the age of six months, with Scruffts rosettes awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each class. Scruffts will be taking place on Sunday 30th April 2023. CLICK HERE for more details.

Essex Police Dog Unit

Put your paws together for the incredible Essex Police Dog Handlers Team! The team will be showcasing the many attributes of Police Dogs including the detention of criminals, as well as demonstrating vehicle pursuits and holding a unique ‘meet and greet’ opportunity with some of the Specialist Search Dogs! Sunday 30th April only.

Expert Advice

We're proud to be joined by a number of dog experts at this year's event including the incredible Kassie Woods. Kassie is a certified Clinical Animal Behaviourist and Trainer, who covers everything from recall and lead walking to scentwork and more. As well as being on hand to offer advice, Kassie will be offering a Gun Dog demo and a Scentwork demo in the Main Arena.

Live Music from Hollie-Blue

Have a doggy dance along to music from songstress Hollie-Blue. You might recognise Hollie from her recent appearance as Bette Midler on ITV's Starstruck. The fabulous entertainer will have you singing and dancing along to your favourite tunes in no time.

Village Green

Relax, grab some food & drink and enjoy live entertainment at the Village Green. From dog quizzes and live music to free, fun competitions for you and your dog, plus educational talks, the Village Green gives you the perfect opportunity to sit down and chill. Meet Retired Essex Police Dogs

This year we'll be joined by the Essex Retired Police Dogs Fund. Meet some of the loyal dogs who have served and protected the people of Essex alongside the Police and learn about the good work done by the Essex Retired Police Dogs Fund (ERPDF) to ensure these dogs can enjoy a happy & healthy retirement. Sunday 30th April only.

Donate to the Pet Food Bank

The All About Dogs Show is proud to be supporting the Pets in Herts Animal Food Bank this year. The team will be on hand in Hylands Park to talk to visitors about the amazing work they do, as well as giving information about volunteering, plus they will be accepting pet food donations at the show including all unopened and in-date pet food and treats, cat litter, toys, collars and leads. Therapy Dogs Nationwide

We're delighted to welcome Therapy Dogs Nationwide to this year's Hylands show. The national charity sees visiting volunteers take their own dogs into establishments to provide comfort, distraction, and stimulation to those who need it most. Meet the dogs and their owners and learn more about the amazing work the charity does.

Free Microchipping

Chelmsford City Council’s Community Protection Officers will be offering free microchipping at the All About Dogs Show Hylands. The service will be available to any dog that hasn’t already had a chip implanted, is over eight weeks old, is a pet not a puppy for sale and presents with a collar and tag.
