Welcome to the All About Dogs Show Newbury 2020!


You’ll see the BIGGEST EVER All About Dogs Show returning to the South West in 2020! Bring your dog to the Newbury Showground on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th April for two days of exciting arena displays, expert advice, shopping and lots of have-a-go activities – and if you don’t have a dog, there’s plenty of fun for humans too! Large Dogs lead the way in Fun Dog Show 3

Specially designed for dogs over 16 inches, Fun Dog Show 3 is for our large four legged friends with 10 classes including Best Rescue and Best Pedigree. Click here for more details.

Small Breeds shine in Fun Dog Show 4

Open to dogs under 16 inches, Fun Dog Show 4 is specifically designed with small dogs in mind. Classes include Best Outfit, Waggiest Tail - plus all child handlers will receive a rosette and a goody bag! Click here for more details.

Is your dog the Best of the Best? Winners from any of the classes throughout the weekend are welcome to participate in this 'fun' dog show. If you won a first prize rosette then come along to the Main Arena at 4pm and join in for free - here are the winners from our Newbury show weekend in 2019: Bentley & Mike and Georgia & Rosco.

Be thrilled by Trip Hazard

We're delighted to welcome back Lucy Heath who will be bringing fun and interactive displays to the Main Arena and our Village Green. Lucy made it to the final of Britain's Got Talent in 2016 as the act 'Trip Hazard' and will be performing with Trip and friends - there could even be the chance for you to take part too! K9 Aqua returns to our 2020 All About Dogs Shows! Come along and let your dog have a go and get super wet in this increasingly popular sport. Remember to bring your camera as you are sure to get some good shots of dogs flying through the air! Click here for more details.

NEW: Win a rosette with the Scurry Bandits

Let your dog have a go at the Bale Jump or Pick Up scurries with rosettes awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for adults and juniors. All dogs are welcome to take part. Click here for more details.

NEW: Have a go at Hoopers

Witness one of the UK's fastest growing dog sports in the Main Arena and then have a go yourself! Hoopers is a low impact sport using hoops, tunnels and barrels and is great for all aged dogs even older retired dogs. Click here for more details.

Learn top training tips in obedience displays

We'll be welcoming the very best local dog clubs and display teams to the Main Arena for informative obedience displays. There will be the chance to take part in have-a-go activities throughout the weekend too.

Meet our celebrity guests

We're very excited to welcome some celebrity guests to Newbury - The Watermill Wolves Acting Team have appeared in Penny Dreadful, Vikings, Vogue, Marie Claire and more! This year they will be running a demonstration in the Main Arena plus they will be showcasing their acting talent in their very own area at the show throughout the weekend.


Has your dog got an Instagram account? Do you want them to strut their stuff down a red carpet? Then come and join us at the All About Dogs Show 2019! The Insta-POOCH Red Carpet will connect the UK’s Doggy Stars of Instagram with their BIGGEST fans. Click here for more information.

NEW: Hollywood Hounds

Does your dog remind you of someone famous? Are they a dog-doppelganger? Come and join us in the Village Green and show us who your dog looks like. The winner will receive a trophy and every dog that takes part will get a rosette (because you're all stars in our eyes).

NEW: Royal Puppy

Is your dog under 12 months? Are they treated like a princess/prince? Do they have any royal tendencies? To celebrate the arrival of the Royal Baby in 2019 we're inviting little princesses and princes to the Village Green. It's FREE to enter and everyone gets a rosette for taking part. The most noble puppy will win a trophy.

Youngsters can have a go too

The Junior Obedience Class is free to enter in the fun dog show arena. Fun obedience class for children - with rosette prizes for the best.

Meet therapy dogs

Come and meet the team from Therapy Dogs Nationwide and learn the important job these pups do - you may even get to have a cuddle with the four legged friends too!

Take part in agility courses

Dog agility is a dog sport where a handler directs a dog through an obstacle course in a race for both time and accuracy. Dogs run off lead with no food or toys as incentives, and the handler can touch neither dog nor obstacles. Click here for more details.

Flyball fun and competitions

Flyball is a fun, fast sport for you and your dog (any breed, any size), as long as dogs are over 12 months old they can play flyball. Have-a-go at the sport plus see the British Flyball Association sanctioned competition live at the show! Click here for more details.

Take on the fun obedience competition

With rosettes for 1st to 5th place, the exercises will be split into Beginners and Advanced Level with obedience tasks including on-lead heel work, sit stays, weaves, recall, stop at distance and more. Click here for more details.

Ready steady LURE RACE!

See if your dog can get the fastest time in either the lure race or hurdles. Click here for more details.

Have a go at Steeplechase

A fun retrieval activity, the Steeplechase requires your dog to navigate over a series of straw bales to retrieve a dummy. Click here for more details.

Meet the UK Boston Terrier Rescue Team

The All About Dogs Show is a big supporter of rescue centres up and down the country. And at our Newbury show you can meet the UK Boston Terrier Rescue team - you may even get to have a play with some of their four-legged team members too! Sunday only.

Can your dog conquer the obstacle course?

The fastest times within each hour will win a prize. Fastest dog of the day wins a rosette. Click here for more details.

Take on the 'Recall Challenge'

Fastest recall is a test of speed. It's a high energy canine sport which requires your dog to chase a toy.... then come back on recall. Will your dog be the quickest of the day? Click here for more details.

Come and see the French Bulldog Saviours

Who loves French Bulldogs? WE DO! Come and meet the team from the French Bulldog Saviours, learn about the good work the charity does plus meet some of the dogs currently in their care.

Enter 'My Dog's Got Talent' competition

Does your dog have a special talent? Or have you trained them do a unique trick? Open to all ages and all dogs, come and join us for our talent show for dogs in the Village Green. It's FREE to enter and everyone gets a rosette for taking part.

Take on our Fun Dog Quiz

How's your canine trivia? Do you know your Boxers from your Beagles? Join us at the Village Green for a FREE fun Dog Quiz where the winning team will receive rosettes and a trophy!

Be entertained at the Main Stage

There will be live music and FREE competitions on the Main Stage all weekend. Take the weight off your feet in our Village Green area, sit back and enjoy!

Meet dogs and owners

Thinking about getting a dog but not sure which one is right for you? At our 2019 show you’ll be able to meet a huge variety of different dogs and speak to some of the owners and rescue centres for advice and guidance on the different dog breeds.

Get advice on dog behaviour

Do you need some help and training advice for your dog? Join the experts from the Dogs Trust School Berkshire for advice on behaviour as well as some training tips live at the show.

Tuck into food and refreshments

Feeling peckish? Don't worry, there will be plenty of food and drink stands to keep you going all day. There will also be lots of stands selling treats for your pooches so they won't miss out!
