All About Dogs Good Citizen Test

Do you think your dog could pass the All About Dogs Good Citizen Test

Open to dogs of all ages, breeds and abilities, the All About Dogs Good Citizen Test will assess your dog on seven different points. Run by the Braintree & District Dog Training Association, everyone who passes will receive a special certificate at the show!

To pass the All About Dogs Good Citizen Test, your dog will have to:

Walk on a loose lead

Walk on a loose lead for approximately 30 paces including some turns and should demonstrate this without pulling.

Walk through a gate

Handler and dog to walk through a gate under control and on a lead.

Controlled walk

Controlled walk amongst people and dogs.

Stay on a lead

'Stay' on a lead for one minute.

Let themselves be groomed

Dog should be able to be brushed without a struggle.

Allow an examination

Examination of your dog - dog will allow handler to inspect their body without concern.

Recall

Recall to handler from 10 paces away.
