Fun Dog Shows

With dozens of classes and rosettes for the top three in each class - the fun dog shows are always popular with visitors of All About Dogs. Our 2019 classes will be run by the Notts & Yorkshire Boxer Rescue, German Shepherd Rescue Elite and FLOOF. Click here for more information about our 2020 classes...

KC Good Citizen Bronze Test

Official Kennel Club Test... A series of simple exercises to test good behaviour. Entrants will either receive a "Pass" and a Certificate or a "Not Ready". The test will take place twice each day at 10.30am and 2.30pm and will be run by Training Plus Dog Training. Rosettes will be available to purchase. K9 Aqua Sports

K9 Aqua returns to this year's All About Dogs Shows due to popular demand! Come along and let your dog have a go and get super wet in this increasingly popular sport. Remember to bring your camera as you are sure to get some good shots of dogs flying through the air!

Agility Course

Dog agility is a dog sport in which a handler directs a dog through an obstacle course in a race for both time and accuracy. Dogs run off leash with no food or toys as incentives, and the handler can touch neither dog nor obstacles. Organised by the Essex Flyers, the agility course is open to dogs of all ages and breeds.

Flyball

Organised by Solar Flyball Team from Wickford, Essex, Flyball is a fun, fast sport for you and your dog (any breed, any size), as long as dogs are over 12 months old they can play flyball. If your dog loves a tennis ball and being active or if you're looking for an activity you and your dog can do together then bring your dog to visit the team and have a go at this increasingly popular dog sport.

Hoopers

Have a go at one of the UK's fastest growing dog sports! Hoopers is a low impact sport using hoops, tunnels and barrels and is great for all aged dogs even older retired dogs. The Hoopers have a go ring will be run by Dog Training for Essex & Suffolk.

Hurdles and Lure Racing

ACES was started by a small group of friends that enjoyed getting out and about with their dogs, the days got more popular with more people wanting to know what's going on and where. Join the ACES team and see if your dog can get the fastest time in either the lure race or hurdles.

Fastest Recall

Fastest recall is a test of speed. It's a high energy canine sport which requires your dog to chase a toy.... then come back on recall. Will your dog be the quickest of the day? All proceeds of the Recall go to the German Shepherd Rescue Elite.

Tombola Dash

This year's Tombola Dash challenge is organised by the Notts & Yorkshire Boxer Rescue. The fastest times within each hour will win a prize. Fastest dog of the day wins a rosette.

Ask the Expert

For hands on training and advice, meet the experts from the Training Plus Dog Training Club and learn how to train your dog to respond to your commands. There will be advice on heel work, recall and more. PLUS young handlers will also be able to have a go with a children's fun class where they will be tested on walking to heel, sit, recall and more.
